Aura

Positioning · Naming · Brand identity

Aura is a personal styling service in Australia, offering in-person and online work across four products and three packages. The founder, a graduate of the Australian Style Institute, had a decade of work behind her and a clear belief driving it: style is a tool for confidence, not a test you pass.

The problem was that the category argued against her. Personal styling reads as something for the rich and famous, and the alternatives, influencers, Pinterest, styling apps, sell inspiration rather than a service. Everything on offer made the stylist the hero.

We repositioned the business around a philosophy instead of a person, and renamed it Aura. The customer becomes the subject; the stylist becomes the method. The proposition, Your Best (Dressed) Self, frames the service as a set of practical tools rather than a look to aspire to.

Four pillars carry it: empowering, customer-first, convenient and ethical. Bespoke and inclusive work, in-depth consultation to find a personal style rather than impose one, the practical skill to dress and shop without the guesswork, and advice that starts with the wardrobe you already own.

We built the identity, messaging framework and digital presence off that platform, accessible and aspirational at once, and unmistakably about the person wearing the clothes.
